Privacy
The short version: no cookies, no forms, no tracking. The site counts visits anonymously, and that's all.
Who runs this site
pauljustel.com is the personal website of Paul Justel, based in Decatur, Georgia, USA. For any question about this page, email pjustel@yahoo.com.
What is collected
- Visit statistics. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, referring sites, countries and device types, in aggregate. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and doesn't fingerprint visitors.
- Server logs. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser types to deliver pages and block attacks.
- Nothing else. No forms, accounts, ads or social media trackers. Fonts and images load from this domain, not from third parties.
Why: to keep the site secure and to know whether anyone reads it. Under the EU's GDPR, that's a legitimate interest. Cloudflare's own practices are described in its privacy policy.
Cookies
None. That's why there's no cookie banner.
If you email me
I use your address and message only to reply, and keep them only as long as the conversation is useful. No mailing list, no sharing.
Your rights
You can ask me what I hold about you (in practice, only emails you've sent me) and have it corrected or deleted. Write to pjustel@yahoo.com and I'll reply within 30 days. If you're in the EU or the UK, you can also contact your data protection authority.
Links to other sites
LinkedIn, Instagram and the Internet Archive have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow a link to them.
